Rainy Dreams

The last two nights I've gone to sleep listening to the rain hit the roof, it brings to mind.

I can see the individual drops erupting off your body
circular waves spreading out from
the point of impact
falling down mountains
collecting in the valley to pour
on to a plain
converging in a pool, your stomach
I can see you watching me through
eyelashes
as I am propt on elbow
by your side
